Pre-appointment information
Please note that the practice is paperless.
You will receive a Logbox link via sms to register either before your appointment or when you arrive for your appointment.
If you are booked for a first trimester ultrasound (11 to 13 week and 6 days), then a blood requisition form will be emailed to you. Please have the test done a few days before your appointment so that the result is available for your appointment. Please read first trimester screening to understand why the tests is performed. This test does need to be done if you have had the NIPT.
If you have had the NIPT, please provide us with a copy of your results.
If you have had your 12 week scan/first trimester screening or have any other previous ultrasound reports, please provide us with these results reports.
Please inform us if you are pregnant with twins/triplets as the allocated consultation time is longer for multiple pregnancies.
If you have had fertility treatment, please provide us with the details of your treatment such as the date of egg retrieval, the day of embryo transfer, the egg donor’s date of birth, etc
The following is helpful information to know:
- Your blood group, height and weight
- Personal history of medical conditions and any medication that you may be on
- Family history of medical conditions or genetic conditions that may be relevant information to share
- Previous obstetric history and details of any complications such as pre-eclampsia or gestational diabetes
- Estimated date of delivery
Tariffs
You will be provided with a statement to claim back from your medical aid.
The cost of the consultation will be discussed with you when you book your appointment.
If you are unable to attend the consultation, kindly cancel 24 prior to the appointment, otherwise you will be billed for a missed appointment and the full tariff will apply ( please read the terms and conditions on Logbox)
Appointment preparation
Preparing for your appointment.
It is recommended that you eat or drink something prior to your appointment. Babies are more active after meals and this will assist in the assessment of the baby during the scan.
Stretchmark prevention oils and creams affect the quality of the scan. Try to skip applying this on your tummy prior to the scan.
